The 2024 Paris Olympics are creeping around the corner and USA Basketball has announced the pool of players who will compete for a spot on Team USA.
The United States is coming off a disappointing fourth-place finish at the FIBA World Cup last summer, but the team did its job in qualifying for the 2024 Olympics. Now, it will look to bounce back and defend its gold medal from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which took place in 2021 due to COVID-19.
Led by head coach Steve Kerr, Team USA’s initial player pool is loaded with superstar-caliber names like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum and many more. The United States is expected to come with firepower as they try to defend their spot as the top-ranked team in the world.
