The first big weekend on the North American horse racing calendar is coming up, and the sport will get an hour and a half of national television coverage to showcase what has become a winter-season staple: the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, Jan. 25.
The $3 million Pegasus World Cup and the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes Presented by Qatar Racing will be shown live on NBC during a broadcast from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The broadcast will also stream live on Peacock.
All of the action from a stakes-packed Saturday card at Gulfstream will be shown live on FanDuel TV. That network and its sister channel FanDuel Racing will also broadcast live races from tracks including Santa Anita Park, Turfway Park, and Fair Grounds as part of its daily package.
In addition to live racing, FanDuel TV will broadcast the 54th annual Resolute Racing Eclipse Awards from The Breakers Palm Beach on Thursday, Jan. 23, starting with a red carpet show at 6:30 p.m. ET and then the awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Eclipse Awards can also be viewed via livestream at NTRA.com, americasbestracing.net, bloodhorse.com, DRF.com, equibase.com, Thoroughbreddailynews.com, and NTRA’s YouTube channel.
Racing from Aqueduct and Oaklawn Park is showcased on NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” during a four-day stretch from Thursday, Jan. 23, to Sunday, Jan. 26. The highlight of this week’s run will be the Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn on Saturday, a qualifying race for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve. “America’s Day at the Races” airs on FOX Sports channels – check the below schedule for times.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
On Pegasus World Cup day, America’s Best Racing presents “Live from the Pegasus World Cup – Watch and Win!,” the ultimate second-screen viewing experience on-site from Gulfstream Park. The show is hosted by Rachel Miller and Dan Tordjman from America’s Best Racing as well as Ben Kudla from Equibase and Alexa Zepp from Daily Racing Form, and will feature numerous special guests. ABR’s livestream kicks off at 4 p.m. ET and ends after the Pegasus World Cup at approximately 6 p.m. ET, and can be viewed on ABR’s Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube pages.
