Sports gambling
Gambling is a dangerous addiction that can potentially wreck American sports. It creates dilemmas with a player’s mental health. When a player is being expected to get the objective people had gambled on and fails to prove their worth it decreases their self-esteem and could possibly affect them on their next game. Watching your favorite sport is about enjoying the plays and being proud of that team for doing their best. I believe that If people were loyal to the players and team they wouldn’t have to gamble away their money due to their expectations. Many people are selfish and don’t think about the negative outcomes it can have on famous athletes and their families. It ruins the fun of it, plus disappointed gamblers target the player they betted on and accuse them of losing their money for thinking they were better than another. It’s a competitive lifestyle but it’s wrong to bring down players by spreading negativity through the addiction of gambling. It can even ruin one’s career.

For me it’s a no on California’s bid to legalize sports betting in state
I feel that the integrity of the players and the teams as a whole will be in question if sports gambling is allowed in our state. I hope California won’t legalize sports betting. Not everyone is able to just use gambling as a form of recreation; some get highly addicted. Casinos have caused debt to many households and loss of homes, etc., so we don’t need another form of gambling to add to the mix.

Sports gambling debate
The impact of sports betting on American sports is a topic of ongoing debate. While some argue that it could lead to increased viewership and engagement with sports, others think of the negative consequences such as corruption, and the exploitation of athletes. However, sports betting could potentially increase fan engagement by giving viewers a financial stake in the outcome of games. This could lead to higher TV ratings, ticket sales and overall interest in sports. While it has the potential to bring benefits it also brings significant challenges that need to be addressed through careful regulation.
