PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women’s tennis team is gearing up for their first road trip to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championship. The Quakers send five talented athletes to compete in this highly competitive tournament.
Eileen Wang, Gavriella Smith, and Maya Urata will compete in the pre-qualifying rounds. All three players went unbeaten in singles during the Penn Invitational, setting a positive tone for the tournament.
Sabine Rutlauka currently ranked #70 in the ITA for singles, will participate in the qualifying matches.
The main draw will feature Esha Velaga and Eileen Wang, ranked 14th in the ITA, who had a 3-1 record in doubles last week. Velaga will also compete in the singles main draw, currently ranked #62.
