Australian travel technology provider Aeronology has launched American Airlines’ New Distribution Capability offers through its booking platform.
Aeronology’s multi-channel booking engine portal enables its customers to book American NDC fares and offers that include “automatic reissue and refund options”.
American’s NDC content also includes “enhanced offers”, such as Main Plus and Main Select, and multiple ancillary services, according to Aeronology.
The company added that it was ready to support American’s launch of dynamically priced offers expected later this year.
Aeronology’s booking platform can be used by retailers, corporate clients, universities and wholesalers to book American’s NDC products.
Russell Carstensen, CEO of Aeronology, added: “Introducing American Airlines’ NDC offers to travel businesses is a key milestone for Aeronology. NDC distribution channels are evolving, scaling up in usability and management ease. Aeronology’s innovative technology assists the user to fully service American Airlines products and services with ease.”
American Airlines has drawn criticism from the corporate travel industry after last year removing 40 per cent of its fares from EDIFACT channels and making them only available through NDC-based platforms. American is also changing its loyalty programme to drive more sales through NDC channels.
