American Airlines has just released new flight deals to Japan, and round-trip tickets can be booked for less than $1,000 round-trip.
“Together with our partner Japan Airlines, we offer you more ways to get to Japan – including new flights to Tokyo Haneda airport,” American wrote about the promotion in an email. “Explore Japan’s historical temples, trendy districts, rich cultural heritage, and delectable cuisine with great fares for travel this fall.”
Travelers should act quickly if they spot a deal they like, as these promotional fares are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion applies to travel dates between September and December, which are some of the best times to visit Japan for good weather and stunning foliage.
Travel + Leisure reviewed the list of discounted routes to Tokyo-Haneda Airport and found the best round-trip deals from various U.S. airports:
Travelers who want to save money can also redeem AAdvantage miles to book flights to Tokyo. From many U.S. cities, a round-trip economy ticket costs as few as 70,000 AAdvantage miles — and just $50 in taxes and fees.
American Airlines is offering the best deal on its newest nonstop service, which began this summer between New York-JFK and Tokyo-Haneda. American is the only U.S. airline to operate this route, alongside its Oneworld partner Japan Airlines, which offers two daily departures. Additionally, Japanese carrier ANA, part of the Star Alliance, also operates two daily flights from New York.
Along with the sale, American has discounted many round-trip fares to Incheon International Airport (ICN) in South Korea. For instance, Travel + Leisure found numerous dates this fall with round-trip tickets between Dallas-Fort Worth and Seoul priced at $891, as well as from other cities.
