ORLANDO, Fla. – American Airlines flights have resumed after a “technical issue” on Christmas Eve morning caused a nationwide grounding of its flights, according to officials.
The airline requested a ground stop for all its flights early Tuesday, the Federal Aviation Administration reported. The ground stop was lifted just before 8 a.m. ET.
The issue arose as millions are traveling for the holiday season.
