American Airlines will fly more flights to Italy than ever before next year, beginning in May 2025.
The airline will increase its flights to Rome (FCO), Naples (NAP) and Venice (VCE) for the busy European summer travel season, with tickets available for purchase today. It will also become the only airline flying nonstop between Chicago and Naples beginning next year. Additionally, a new nonstop route from Dallas-Fort Worth to Venice will begin on June 5.
American Airlines also added more flights to Italy from both Miami and Philadelphia next summer.
The airline will fly these transatlantic routes on Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
American has been expanding its routes abroad for next year. It added more daily flights to London, created a new service between Chicago and Madrid and announced it will resume service to Edinburgh. In total, it offers access to over 175 destinations throughout Europe.
“As Italy continues to remain popular for summertime travel, American is making it easier than ever for customers to shop, dine or unwind in their favorite destinations,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “Whether reveling in the history of Rome or relaxing on a beach on the Mediterranean, American’s network will offer more ways for customers to plan their perfect itinerary.”
