American Liberty is set to embark on its inaugural cruise next month, departing on August 15th. This roundtrip journey from Providence, Rhode Island, will follow the popular New England Islands itinerary, featuring stops in New Bedford, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard, MA, as well as Block Island, Newport, and Bristol, RI. Beyond this summer’s New England voyage, American Liberty will offer a range of exclusive U.S. itineraries along the East Coast throughout 2024. These cruises seamlessly combine the luxury of river cruising with the excitement and accessibility of expedition cruising, all while visiting only U.S. ports of call.
“American Liberty is the newest ship in our fleet, reflecting our ongoing commitment to building small innovative ships for America’s rivers and coasts,” said Charles B. Robertson, President & CEO of American Cruise Lines.
American Liberty closely follows the 2023 launches of its sister ships, American Eagle and American Glory. As the newest vessel in the fleet, it underscores the Line’s robust market presence, continuous fleet expansion, and unique capability to offer diverse U.S. itineraries along both rivers and coasts. American’s fleet of small ships has grown consistently, featuring groundbreaking designs that provide unparalleled accommodations for vessels of this size. The company operates the world’s only 100% U.S.-flagged fleet of riverboats and small cruise ships.
With a capacity for just 100 guests, American Liberty boasts four decks and features the distinctive catamaran bow design of its sister ships. The ship offers elegant interior design and private balcony accommodations, including spacious single and double-occupancy staterooms and suites. Passengers can also enjoy a stunning top deck for breathtaking views, comfortable indoor and outdoor lounges, a main restaurant, a casual café, and a fitness center—amenities rarely found on ships of this size.
