The store then reopened on November 27 after the brief closure. Mike also paid a vist to his Iowa store on the 27 as he promoted their Black Friday sale.

He showed fans a vintage “interesting” and “unusual” Santa Claus suit, as well as his own merchandise including hats, mugs, coasters, shirts and more.

He said: “We have a TV show. Before the show it was just Danielle [Colby] and I working in here. When the show hit, everyone came in and asked for t-shirts and hats. There is a mix of merch and vintage.”

The drama comes after American Pickers has seen their ratings struggle with the November 20 episode Surfs, Signs, Savage clocking up 521,000 viewers.

The episode saw a considerable drop from then November 13 instalment Picken’ Wall to Wall, which brought in 582,000 viewers.

The November 6 episode Carnival Cashout had 547,000 viewers, while DIY Delorean on October 30 achieved the lowest ratings of the season with just 442,000 viewers.

The ratings for Season 26 are drastically low compared to last season.

Season 25’s premiere achieved 723,000 viewers for part one and 676,000 for part two, while episode three saw 880,000 viewers tune in.

By January 24 ratings increased to 948,000 viewers, with February 28 getting 966,000 viewers, and March 27’s season finale saw 832,000 people tune in.

American Pickers has now dropped to the fifth most-watched series on the History Channel, behind Curse of Oak Island, Tales from Oak Island, UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd and Mountain Men.
