Aviation American Gin has launched itself into the travel retail sector with its first ever travel retail exclusive Expedition Strength.
Named after a Prohibition Era cocktail, the Expedition Strength range is slightly stronger than the original, to meet the needs of the modern traveller. Created with a “citrus-forward profile underscored by a rich tapestry of botanicals”, Aviation American Gin seeks to pay homage to the the origins of its ingredients.
To celebrate the launch of Expedition Strength, the brand is hosting a dedicated activation at Barcelona Airport Terminal 1, featuring two signature cocktails, the Negroni Update and the Bee’s Knees.
Ryan Reynolds, Actor and Co-owner of Aviation American Gin, said: “No consumer is harder to reach than the duty-free traveller. Yes, it’s a captive audience but it’s also walking by at top speed, rushing to a flight or to hastily purchase a neck pillow. That’s why I am so proud of Aviation Gin Expedition Strength. Diageo-owned Aviation American Gin was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 2006. Reynolds invested in the brand in 2018, after discovering it in a cocktail bar while filming Deadpool 2.
