Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has revealed that when not with the Bulldogs, he does not watch football.
Whether he is spending too much time with girlfriend Hanna Cavinder, or just trying to take his mind off of the gridiron, is unclear.
However, admitting publicly that away from his time with Georgia’s football program has no gridiron action part of it has caused NFL fans to be concerned ahead of his incoming entrance into the league.
Others do not think the comments, where he said he did not watch Texas’ win over Texas A&M live, will affect his draft stock, as he is already considered not to be one of the top prospects at quarterback in the 2025 class.
‘I don’t watch football, so I know that sounds kind of crazy,’ Beck said. ‘I don’t really enjoy watching football, it’s not fun for me. I watch film. So if I watch (the Texas) game, I’m not just going to be able to sit there and enjoy it. I’m going to stress myself out the whole entire time.’
‘I’m watching the defense. I’m like “Ok, why this coverage on this down?” And like, “Why did he throw it there against this coverage?” You can learn from watching it. But it’s stressful for me because I don’t ever give myself a break whenever it comes to football.’

Beck is one of the quarterback prospects in the 2025 draft, with his comments coming as a shock
Beck will likely be taken in April’s draft, it is just a matter of how far into the proceedings he hears his name called.
‘He’s looked terrible this season. For all the people who say this wont hurt his draft stock, it sure as hell won’t help it,’ one NFL fan said.
‘Talent is talent. He will be fine.’
‘He realized what he said and started backpedaling LMAO.’

Consistently ranked ahead of Beck are Miami’s Cam Ward, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
Beck has been paired with Penn State’s Drew Allar and Texas’ Quinn Ewers as the next group of quarterbacks to be chosen.
For now, Beck will lead Georgia into the Southeastern Conference championship game against Texas, hoping to beat the Longhorns for the second time this year.
Then comes a trip to the College Football Playoff, where Beck will have a chance to improve, or tank, his NFL Draft stock.
Beck is 23-3 as a starter at Georgia and was the backup quarterback on the Bulldogs’ national championship teams in 2021 and 2022.
