Several social media users late on Sunday claimed that American Airlines deplaned an ‘entire’ flight travelling to Miami because ‘90%’ of the passengers were wearing MAGA hats. MAGA stands for ‘Make America Great Again’ – a slogan at the center of President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign. The airline is yet to respond to these claims.

“BREAKING: American Airlines deplanes an entire flight heading to Miami because 90% of the flight was wearing MAGA gear.. Developing..” US Army Veteren Douglas Macgregor posted on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. However, he did not back his claim with any evidence.

“American Airlines just DE-PLANED an entire flight heading to Miami because 90% of the passengers were wearing MAGA hats. Seriously insane,” another person added.

“Reports claim American Airlines DEPLANED an entire flight due to 90% of passengers wearing MAGA attire. Commercial Airlines are subsidized by The Federal Government with U.S. Tax Dollars, thus you have The Right to Free Expression. To DENY this would require Criminal Prosecution due to Violation of Civil Rights,” a third person said in a tweet.
