FAYETTEVILLE — Kyle Ramsey, a first-team FCS All-America transfer kicker from Abilene Christian, has joined the Arkansas football team.
Ramsey, who will be a junior in 2024, is listed on the team’s online roster.
He had a strong sophomore season at Abilene Christian in 2023 when he was 14 of 15 (93.3%) on field goals with a long of 55 yards. He was perfect on 10 attempts under 50 yards and was 7 of 7 on kicks between 40 and 49 yards.
Ramsey made three of the four longest field goals in FCS last year with a make of 55 and two makes of 54 yards. He also had a 51-yard make. He was second in FCS in field-goal percentage.
He was an AFCA FCS Coaches All-America first-team selection and a third-team All-American by The Associated Press.
Ramsey began his college career in 2019 at Houston. He held kickoff duties for the Cougars as a freshman, when he booted 55 kickoffs with a 57.8-yard average.
He played two games in 2020 and redshirted the 2021 season. Ramsey made 5 of 6 field goals attempted in 2022 with a long of 42 yards. He then transferred to Abilene Christian.
Ramsey joined Hawaii transfer Matthew Shipley, redshirt senior Vito Calvaruso and freshman Charlie Von Der Meden as kickers on the Razorbacks’ roster.
