Young aspiring football players and football newcomers alike took the field with NFL hall of famer Isaac Bruce in a series of drills at the Isaac Bruce foundation football clinic in Earth City, Missouri, on June 15.
“I truly believe the participants like it, they have a chance to learn football skills which I believe translates to life skills. It’s fun, I have fun personally doing it,” Bruce said.
The hall of famer threw passes to receivers racing 20 yards downfield while coaches guided youth through tackling, throwing, stances, slippery ballcarrier maneuvers, and punting.
“Persevere, there are many avenues, many levels, many doors in the realm of professional sports; particularly football. If it’s not a player, could be a referee, a general manager, a scout, ownership,” Bruce said.
Each young athlete in attendance received a free t-shirt and water bottle.
