After notable former Georgia football players Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims were selected on the first day and Ladd McConkey, Kamari Lassiter, Adonai Mitchell, Javon Bullard and Tykee Smith were selected on the second day of the 2024 NFL Draft, there were still plenty of Georgia prospects still on the board heading into day three, the final day of the NFL draft.
Here are all the Bulldogs selected on day three of the 2024 NFL Draft:
Sedrick Van Pran
With the 141st pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, center Sedrick Van Pran was selected by the Buffalo Bills.
Van Pran will join an offensive line that features players like tackle Dion Dawkins and guard O’Cyrus Torrence and will snap to quarterback Josh Allen. He’ll play in an offense called by Joe Brady.
Van Pran is one of the most-tenured offensive linemen in Georgia’s history. He was the starting center for both of Georgia’s national championships in 2021 and 2022. He was also a team captain for the past two years, including serving as a captain in the 2022 SEC championship and both playoff games.
He earned several honors in his time as a Bulldog, including second-team All-SEC his second year as a starter and first-team All-SEC this past year. Van Pran was also a semi-finalist for the Rimington trophy, a key member of all three straight semi-finalist appearances for Georgia’s offensive line. He did win the SEC’s Jacobs Blocking Trophy this past season.
Van Pran has three seasons of starting at center with the Bulldogs and will likely slide right in as a starter. However, Van Pran may need to start at guard, which he doesn’t have as much experience at and may need to develop there as a pro.
He’s demonstrated an ability to be a strong pass-blocker in his time at college but struggled at points in the run game. While he’s great at moving laterally, he’s struggled to move vertically. Van Pran has tended to overset and miss a block at times. However, Van Pran is very technically skilled, and his experience and leadership capabilities and will likely be a great addition to Buffalo’s offensive line.
