NFL Network’s Good Morning Football is set for huge changes in 2024.

The popular NFL weekday show is currently on an extended hiatus as it moves production from New York to Los Angeles.

Ahead of the new NFL season, the show is set to undergo a radical overhaul on the West Coast.

Fox-owned local TV stations will broadcast a new syndicated edition of GMFB, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The new two-hour extension to the regular show was announced in March and will debut on September 2.

It will “coexist alongside the NFL Network program” and run from Monday to Friday, per the report.

Sony Pictures Television will distribute the syndicated edition, which will broadcast to 29 Fox-run TV stations.

“Football is a subject that fans around the country want to engage around – anytime, anywhere,” said Sony Pictures Television executive VP of distribution Flory Bramnick.

“In a competitive media landscape, it is a jewel that continues to attract a live audience, drawing record appointment viewing.

“We’re excited to bring Good Morning Football to the syndication marketplace because it offers our buyers many benefits, from connecting their audience to the NFL and the #1 sport in the nation, to driving extraordinary advertiser appeal.”

Current GMFB host Jamie Erdahl appeared delighted with the development.

“Strong. More @gmfb more places,”” Erdahl” she wrote on her X account on Thursday.

“I work for the local FOX affiliate in Rochester, MN, and we are THRILLED to have GMFB joining our lineup!” wrote one follower in response.

“END THE HIATUS! Give us back our GMFB!!!!” added another.

“Seems like a solid move for Fox, more football content in the morning can’t hurt,” said a third.

“Umm can y’all just hurry up and get back, my mornings are absolutely horrible without you guys,” complained a fourth.

Good Morning Football is undergoing a relocation as the show moves from the East to West Coast.

It is expected to return “this summer,” per the Hollywood Reporter.

Erdahl recently gave birth to her first child with the program off-air since late March.

GMFB briefly returned from hiatus for a special NFL Draft edition featuring regulars Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, and Jason McCourty.

Brandt assured viewers in March that the show was “not ending, but expanding.”

“It’s exciting because it’s a bigger show, it’s more show,” he said, ahead of the move to LA.

“It’s all the things and the tokens you’ve woken up with for years. 

“Angry Runs, Lead Block, Whiteboard Wednesday, Throwdown Thursday, and on and on and on. It’s all in. It’s all happening.”
