Intrepid Travel is seeking a new CMO after current chief customer officer (de facto marketing head honcho) Leigh Barnes announced he’s headed to the US to lead the firm’s American operations.
The new CMO could be based in either Melbourne or London.
“I’ve had an awesome time over the past few years, including investing significantly in brand, deepening our digital smarts and creating a customer-centric mindset. We’ve seen the results in record brand recognition, incredible customer NPS and most importantly, the positive impact we’ve created for communities around the world,” Barnes wrote on LinkedIn.
“Now, we’re looking for someone to take it to the next level.
“So, if you’re a creative, passionate and visionary marketing and customer leader who is ready to create that positive change in the world, we most def want to hear from you.”
James Thornton, Intrepid’s CEO, added: “This is a senior leadership role, reporting to me, with responsibility of bringing our 2030 strategic aspiration of ‘the world needs more Intrepid people’ to life.
