Jamaican-American fashion designer and author Jenelle Alexia has kicked off 2025 with the release of her second children’s book, Keira and Jaime Discover A Musical Dream.
The book, part of her popular Keira series, debuted on Wednesday, January 15, following delays that pushed its release from 2024.
“I’m super elated that the delays are behind me and I was able to get this out in the early part of the new year!” Alexia said during an interview with her publicist, Lesley Hayles.
The Keira series launched with Keira Discovers Her Talent, which reached number four on the Apple Books Kids Chart and performed strongly on Amazon in 2023. The newest installment continues the series’ focus on empowerment, with the title character encouraging her schoolmate Jaime to pursue his musical aspirations despite naysayers.
In addition to her writing, Alexia, the CEO of the Philadelphia-based A’Legends fashion brand, has relaunched her website to feature her latest designs, including the Bankx Riddim, a production unveiled last March. She plans to expand her offerings by selling her clothing line and books, including the new release, on Amazon.

Alexia’s work as a designer and author reflects her commitment to creativity and inspiring others. With Keira and Jaime Discover A Musical Dream, she hopes to replicate the success of her first book while delivering a motivational message for children and their families.
The Keira series has gained attention for its uplifting themes, making it a must-read for those seeking engaging and positive stories for young readers.
