DAVIS, Calif. – Already named the top returning running back in the nation for the 2024 season, UC Davis senior running back and 2023 Walter Payton Watch List honoree Lan Larison has added another feather in his cap, being named Preseason First Team All-American by FCS Football Central as part of their 2024 Football Championship Series preview.
Larison, despite only playing in eight games due to injury, finished 2023 with 1,101 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, placing him among the nation’s best. He finished ranked 12th in the nation in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and his 15 total touchdowns put him eighth in the country.
The Aggie running back earned FCS Football Central All-American First Team honors and Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American honors following the 2023 season. Larison was also named All-Big Sky Conference first team following a season where he led the conference in all-purpose yards (1,299), finished second in the league in rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns.
