PATRICK Mahomes will be prepared for training camp when it comes to the entertainment department.
The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback, 28, revealed he will be bringing a different type of equipment to training camp.
On Tuesday, Mahomes arrived early for the Chiefs’ training camp at Missouri Western State University which is close to an hour from Arrowhead Stadium.
The three-time Super Bowl champion spoke to reporters and shared that he brought a TV and gaming system to training camp for the first time in his career.
“This is my first year I’m bringing a TV,” Mahomes said, per Fox4 Kansas City.
“I haven’t brought a TV ever before, but NCAA (EA Sports College Football 25) came out, I’m gonna have to turn it on.
“I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics, so that’s my first year of doing that.”
Mahomes is one of many who plan on spending time playing the highly anticipated College Football 25 video game which came out earlier this week.
College Football 25 is the first college football video game to come out since 2014.
Mahomes was a high schooler the last time a college game, which was called NCAA Football 14, was released.
The Paris Olympics don’t start until next week as the summer event only occurs every four years.
Mahomes can watch various US athletics including gymnastics in which Simone Biles, who is married to Chicago Bears’ Jonathan Owens, stars.
The Olympics begin on Wednesday, July 24, and end on August 10.
The six-time Pro Bowler made the Tuesday appearance at camp when most Chiefs veterans aren’t required to report until Saturday.
Mahomes wants nothing more than completing the league’s first-ever Super Bowl three-peat
“Once you win the Super Bowl,” the two-time MVP said, per USA Today, “when you don’t win it, it sucks even more.
“You experience the offseason of being able to say you’re the champ, and you experience all the different things and activities you’re able to do because you’re a Super Bowl champ, and you experience the feeling of just winning the Super Bowl.
“For us – I’ll speak for myself, I mean, when you don’t win it now, it sucks because you know what it could be like if you were to go out there and win it.”
Chiefs training camp officially begins on July 21 and ends on August 15.
They will play the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL’s season-opener on Thursday Night Football on September 5.
It will be a matchup of last year’s AFC Championship when Kansas City defeated Baltimore 17-10.
