Samantha Wagner’s achievements include multiple junior national team appearances and qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open at age 19. These highlights are just a few of her many accomplishments. Although she is now a pro golfer on the LPGA Tour, having turned professional in 2017, and living her dream, her successful amateur career has also significantly shaped her journey.

Samantha Wagner was born on October 6, 1996, in Windermere, Florida. She spent her childhood there and completed her high school education at Circle Christian School. Wagner played collegiate golf while studying at the University of Florida and made a name for herself. At the university, she was named to the 2016 All-SEC Freshman Team and earned SEC Women’s Freshman Golfer of the Week honors twice.
Although she is an active golfer with more than 5000 followers on Instagram, Wagner is private about her parents and hasn’t talked about them. However, from her Instagram, it’s confirmed that she has a brother, CJ Wagner, who turned 29, 17 weeks ago. She shares a very good bond with him and is lucky to have him in her life. Wishing his big brother a very happy 29th birthday, she wrote on Instagram, “Happy last year of your 20’s dude🥳 you’re the best big brother I could ever ask for💙.”
The brother-sister duo likes to party together and share a few laughs along the way. They have loved spending time with each other ever since they were young, and have been very close with each other, like any other sibling duo. Samantha also loves dogs and has one of her own, a golden retriever, who she has named Bunker. She got the lovely Bunker 6 years ago. She is very thankful for having her fur baby as he has been with her in the highs and lows of her life.
During her amateur career, she made two junior national team appearances and represented Team USA at the 2012 Junior Ryder Cup and the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup. Aside from that, Samantha Wagner also played in the 2012 Junior PGA Championship and the 2014 Junior PGA Championship, finishing second and fourth, respectively.

During her time as an amateur, Samantha Wagner played in four USGA Junior Girls’ Championships. Interestingly, she was the second-youngest participant in the USGA Junior Girls’ Championship at the age of 11. While her amateur career helped her turn pro in 2023, what kind of person is she outside of the greens?
Surprisingly, Wagner has a lot of interests outside of golf. She enjoys photography and likes to post about herself on social media. She also loves flowers and sunsets and likes to post about them. The LPGA golfer likes to spend her free time in the mountains and beaches. She also has a passion for reading books and has spent significant time reading the great works of Colleen Hover, like ‘It Ends with Us’, ‘Ugly Love’, and more. The golfer also loves music and seems to enjoy songs from artists like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, and more.

in 2023, she played 16 events and made 7 cuts on the LPGA Tour. It was her rookie season on the Tour. Overall, Wagner seems like an all-rounder who is living her dream of being a golfer, and being just a regular girl!
