Tulsa, Okla. – Texas Men’s Tennis sophomore Lucas Brown collected two singles victories to move on to the qualifying rounds at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa on Sunday.
Brown first defeated Billy Blaydes of Auburn, 7-5, 6-3, and later downed Aaron Williams of Georgia Southern, 6-3, 6-2. The draw for the first round of qualifying with Brown’s opponent and time will be released at a later time.
The Longhorns also have two doubles pairs that were qualifying selections and will begin play on Monday. The No. 31 duo of Brown and junior Sebastian Gorzny will play Luis Felipe Miguel and Adam Bojkovic of Tulsa at 4 p.m. CT, while the No. 68 tandem of senior Pierre-Yves Bailly and junior Jonah Braswell will face Dhakshineswar Suresh and Andrew Delgado of Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m. CT.
