The Miami Dolphins have selected Lucas Rossetti as the International Fan of the Year. Rossetti is from Brazil and has been a loyal Dolphins fan since 2007.
Rossetti’s love for football started at the age of 16 in São Paulo when he began playing flag football after being introduced to the sport by a friend. The team didn’t have a coach, but that didn’t stop Rossetti from playing and learning football.
Rossetti decided to teach himself football techniques by watching videos of legendary Dolphins quarterback and Hall of Famer Dan Marino. As he began to study the game, he continued to practice by running different drills.
Four years later, at the age of 20 Rossetti became a head coach teaching American football in Brazil. He has been a head coach for 15 years and is committed to coaching and growing the football community in Brazil, while being a positive voice for the Dolphins.
The International Fan of the Year elevates the game through their love of football, which Rossetti exemplifies daily. He has a passion for helping others and wears his aqua and orange with pride.
Rossetti founded the Brazilian American Football Congress, where more than 500 coaches have been trained in coaching. He also served as the Director of Football Operations for the Brazilian League of Football, Liga BFA.
The International Fan of the Year selection was revealed at NFL in Brasa before Super Bowl LIX.
Rossetti will be representing the Miami Dolphins at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.
