American restaurant brand Slim Chickens is set to open its doors at Festival Place in Basingstoke on Thursday 18 July.
With capacity for at least 85 diners, the new location represents the 54th establishment for the chain, known for its Southern-inspired buttermilk tenders.
Slim Chickens says the opening will create 50 local jobs.
Ben Blore, the brand’s head of operations, said: “I want to express my sincere gratitude to the incredible team at the Festival Village site and our openings team for making all this possible.
“Their hard work and dedication allow our sites to open and deliver fresh, cooked-to-order chicken every time, ensuring the best experience for our guests.”
To mark the grand opening this July, the first 30 guests in line are each set to receive a complimentary serving of three chicken tenders.
The restaurant will also serve sandwiches, wraps, salads and sides – including plant-based options – to eat in or for takeaway and delivery via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.
