Fashion finds a home in Paris, the site of the 2024 Olympics.
Wayfarers may be taken aback by the baroque architecture that litters the French capital city’s landscape. Or maybe they can find themselves entranced with the history of the township, casting a watchful glare towards Paris’ ghosts of the past, individuals like Aime Cesaire, Leopold Sedar Senghor and James Baldwin, among others.
It’s hard not to notice the fashion, though. Parisians are liable to treat the cobbled side streets like catwalks, strutting down the street in the finest fur. There’s a reason Paris Fashion Week is such a seismic event in the world of garments.
Team USA is embracing the fashion-driven stylings of its soon-to-be home for 16 days, cloaking itself in elaborate pelts courtesy of one of the country’s most prominent fashion brands.

American fashion house Ralph Lauren returns to the spotlight, earning distinction as Team USA’s official fashion designer.
The company has crafted Olympic outfits for nearly two decades, outfitting Team USA in every Olympic parade since 2008, including the winter games.
Some view their ensembles and classy and elegant. Others feel they’re one-note, claiming that Lauren has “monopolized” the Olympic outfit.
LeBron James and Coco Gauff will be Team USA’s flag bearers in 2024. James, 39, is the first men’s basketball player chosen for the honor, while Gauff, 20, is the youngest-ever American chosen for the role.
