The NBA All-Star Game always has the world’s best talent on display, but with so many stars on the floor, there haven’t been the individual scoring explosions you might expect from a pickup game.
There have only been four players in NBA history to crack the 50-point mark in an All-Star Game and they have all happened in the last six years. In fact, there are only eight players to ever score 40-plus points in a single All-Star Game.
While multi-time All-Stars have accrued impressive point totals over the years, the way players share the wealth at the All-Star Game has hindered any sort of 60 or 70-point eruptions that we have seen in regular-season NBA games lately.
Take a look at the highest individual scoring records and the all-time leading scorers in NBA All-Star Game history below.

Since the first All-Star Game was first played in 1962, only eight players have scored 40 points in a single game.

One year later, Jayson Tatum set a new All-Star Game record by dropping 55 points en route to winning the Kobe Bryant MVP award.
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 50 points off the bench for the Western Conference in the 2024 contest.

LeBron James holds the record for most points scored in NBA All-Star Game history. His 434 points are over 100 more than second place — the late, great Kobe Bryant.
As James continues to rack up All-Star appearances late in his career, he’ll only build on his record in the same way he will his regular season all-time scoring record.
James is one of two active players in the top 10 of the NBA All-Star Game all-time scoring record. Kevin Durant ranks third with 268 points.
